Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nate Ken Studio (“the Studio,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit natekens.com (the “Site”) or submit information through it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not submit personal information through the Site.
1. Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus limited technical data generated by serving the Site:
- Photography booking requests: the type of shoot you describe, preferred date and time, shoot location or address, your name, email address, phone number, any message you include, and the page you submitted from.
- Web project inquiries: your name, business name, budget range, phone number, email address, and your project description.
- Mailing-list signups: your email address.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically logs standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) to serve pages, keep the Site secure, and diagnose problems. We also record a form-timing value used solely to filter automated spam.
The Site does not use accounts, passwords, advertising trackers, or analytics cookies. Form drafts you type may be saved temporarily in your own browser’s session storage so your progress isn’t lost — that draft never leaves your device until you press submit and is cleared when your booking is sent or your browser session ends.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your booking request or project inquiry and communicate about scheduling, pricing, and deliverables.
- To send occasional studio and game-development updates only if you signed up for the mailing list. Every email includes a way to opt out, and you can opt out at any time by replying or contacting us.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including filtering spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (responding to booking and project inquiries),consent (mailing-list emails, which you may withdraw at any time), andlegitimate interests (site security, spam prevention, and record keeping).
3. Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the Site:
- Vercel (hosting) — serves the Site and stores standard server logs, including form submissions delivered to us.
- Resend (email delivery) — transmits your form submission to our inbox as an email notification.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (maps) — if you use the map preview in the booking form, the address text you typed is sent to OpenStreetMap’s geocoding service to display the location. Don’t use the map preview if you prefer the address not be shared; your booking still works without it.
- Google Fonts (typography) and image CDNs (placeholder photography) — your browser requests these assets directly, which shares your IP address with those services, as with any website that uses them.
- Cloudflare (DNS, and potentially network security/proxying now or in the future) — when routing the Site's domain, Cloudflare may process standard connection data such as IP addresses as part of resolving and protecting the domain.
Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its function and is governed by its own privacy terms.
4. How long we keep information
Booking and inquiry emails are retained in our business inbox for as long as needed to respond, deliver services, and maintain business records, after which they may be deleted. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you opt out or we retire the list. Hosting logs are retained on the schedule set by our hosting provider (typically short-term) and are not separately archived by us.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal information.
- Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, emailhello@natekens.com. We will verify the request using the email address associated with the information and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
6. Security
All traffic to the Site is encrypted with HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and size-limited on our servers, transmitted over encrypted connections, and delivered only to the Studio’s business inbox. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards and minimize the data we collect in the first place.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Family photography inquiries should be submitted by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors and governing law
The Studio operates from Florida, United States, and information is processed on servers located in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. This policy is interpreted under Florida and applicable U.S. federal law; residents of other jurisdictions keep any additional rights their local law provides (see Section 5).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
